This program celebrates the charm and beauty of French music around the court in the 17th century, featuring several generations of composers. Our program includes music by two rarely heard women composers, with songs by Julie Pinel and a violin sonata by Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. We’ll also offer pieces for viola da gamba by Forqueray, and a refreshing aria from Nicolas Bernier’s Coffee Cantata.
